Andrew Wyeth: Remembrance

Wyeth Wednesdays >>

Every Wednesday through October 14, visit the exhibition Andrew Wyeth: Remembrance at 2 pm for a weekly gallery talk with one of SAM's own curators. Each talk will be short (around 15 minutes) and conversational, about any topic related to Wyeth that the curator would like to address. The Andrew Wyeth exhibition continues through October 18.

As a SAM member, you can attend the members-only lectures held monthly by SAM’s dynamic curators and followed by dessert receptions. The season kicks off on October 7 with Patricia Junker, SAM's Ann M. Barwick Curator of American Art, speaking on "Andrew Wyeth, Rebel." Tickets are $5 for SAM members, and you can buy them online.

Saturday University: Asia in Focus >>

In collaboration with the University of Washington, the new Center for Asian Art and Ideas at the Seattle Asian Art Museum is launching a 10-week lecture series on India, China and Japan. The series begins with Professor Anand Yang speaking on "India and the World: Ancient to Modern Times." Members Price: $10 for this class, $75 for entire series.

Join us for a celebration of Diwali, India's festival of lights, on Saturday, October 3 at SAM Downtown. Dance to Bollywood grooves spun by DJ Aanshul, eat delicious Indian tapas catered by Saffron Grill, watch in awe as dancers from Rhythms of India perform, and adorn your hands and arms with beautiful henna. Tickets are limited, so reserve your space soon. Proceeds will benefit educational programming at the Seattle Asian Art Museum.
